Privacy

rdicons is a free tool for browsing and using icons. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run it.

The short version

  • No accounts, no sign-in and no tracking cookies at the moment.
  • No advertising or analytics scripts at the moment. If that changes, this page will say so before it does.
  • The Figma plugin never reads or uploads your designs.
  • Nothing you create is stored on our servers.

Website

When you search or open an icon, your browser asks our server for that icon data. Like any web server, the hosting provider may keep ordinary technical logs (IP address, browser type, requested page, time) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to identify you.

Your choices (theme, color, size, stroke) are saved only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us.

AI assistant

When you use Suggest icons or Ask a question, the text you type is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the answer. Do not type personal or confidential information into it. To prevent abuse, the server counts requests per IP address in memory for a few minutes; this is not stored long term.

Figma plugin

  • It only contacts rdicons.vimalbhatt.com, to load icons and the list of libraries. That is the only network access it asks Figma for.
  • It sends your search words and the library you chose, nothing else. It does not read your file, your layers or your account, other than the current selection count and the selected layers you ask it to replace, which stay inside Figma.
  • Your plugin settings (library, color, size, theme) are stored locally by Figma.

Command line and npm packages

The CLI asks this website for the icon you request. It has no telemetry. The npm packages contain the icons and make no network requests.

Desktop app

It is a window around this website, so the same rules as the website apply. It stores its window size and position on your computer.

The icons come from open-source libraries and keep their own licenses. See the license list.
